Installing Disro for Slack

To install Disro for Slack, use the Add to Slack button on https://disro.com/slack, approve the requested Slack permissions, and connect the Slack workspace to the correct Disro account. Workspace administrator approval may be required.

Before using Disro in Slack

Check that:

  • Disro is installed in your Slack workspace.
  • The correct Disro account is connected.
  • The app has been added to the channel or conversation where it should work.
  • Workspace admin approval is complete, if required.
  • Any connected tools Disro should use are connected and authorized.
  • The relevant workflow, command, report, or approval flow is enabled for your workspace.

Common Issues

Disro does not respond to an app mention.

Confirm Disro is installed, the app is allowed in the channel, and the workspace has granted the required permissions. If it still does not respond, email support@disro.com with the channel, message link if available, and timestamp.

A direct message with Disro is not working.

Confirm your workspace has enabled direct messages with Disro and that your Disro account is connected if required.

A slash command is not working.

Confirm the command is enabled for your workspace and typed exactly as configured, such as /comments when that command is available. Include the command, timestamp, and any error message when contacting support.

An approval button or modal did not work.

Check whether you have permission to approve the action and whether the connected tool or Slack destination is still authorized.

A recurring report or proactive follow-up did not arrive.

Confirm the report or follow-up is enabled, the destination channel is authorized, and Disro still has permission to post there.

Disro cannot access a Slack channel, thread, or file.

Disro can only access Slack locations and content your workspace authorizes and where the app has access. Add Disro to the channel or update workspace permissions if appropriate.

A summary, draft, or recommendation is missing context.

Disro can only use Slack data and connected tool data it is authorized to access. Review the channel access, connected tools, and workflow settings.
